Club Champs Awards Ceremony
We would like to present trophies, medals and ribbons to swimmers who have achieved a placing at club championships for 2009 at Amersham Pool this coming Sunday (14th March).
Please could swimmers take note of the times and come to training early or stay a little later in order to receive their awards.
If you are not available this Sunday there will another opportunity to collect awards shortly.

THAMES VALLEY JUNIOR LEAGUE
Well done to the Amersham team of swimmers, coaches and supporters who won the last round of this years TVL by a comfortable margin. Full report in due course
BSBASA County Championships
A great start to the championships, with ASC swimmers and teams in great form. Well done to everyone, especially all our medallists, junior and senior county champions. The medal and placings table is here and there will be a full report in due course. The results are on the BSBASA website.
New Club Records
The first day of the championships brought a new crop of records. There was a first club record for George Marsh in the 11/12 year old boys 200m Backstroke (2:32.14). Eleanor Dolan broke the 13/14 girls 200m Freestyle record (2:08.11). Kat Shaw lowered the time again on her own 15/16 girls and Open 100m Backstroke records (1:02.45), this was also a county record. She also broke the 15/16 girls 50m Butterfly record (30.76). Finally Sarah Hammond broke the long-standing (2002) 11/12 girls 50m Butterfly record in a very good time of 31.76. Well done to all the new record holders!
CLUB SHOP
The club shop (on the balcony above the main pool on Sundays from approx 4.30 – 6pm) will not
be open on Sunday 7th March but will be open this week as normal.
Hughes Sport Foundation
We have received an invitation from the Hughes Sport Foundation. This was founded in 2009 with the aim of providing support - in the form of small grants - to able bodied or disabled young people showing promise in specific sports, who can demonstrate they require financial assistance to develop their abilities to achieve their full sporting potential. Grants are available to assist with the costs associated with training and competing. Please check this week's bulletin for further details or follow this link
