BSBASA County Championships

A great start to the championships, with ASC swimmers and teams in great form. Well done to everyone, especially all our medallists, junior and senior county champions. The medal and placings table is here and there will be a full report in due course. The results are on the BSBASA website.

New Club Records

The first day of the championships brought a new crop of records. There was a first club record for George Marsh in the 11/12 year old boys 200m Backstroke (2:32.14). Eleanor Dolan broke the 13/14 girls 200m Freestyle record (2:08.11). Kat Shaw lowered the time again on her own 15/16 girls and Open 100m Backstroke records (1:02.45), this was also a county record. She also broke the 15/16 girls 50m Butterfly record (30.76). Finally Sarah Hammond broke the long-standing (2002) 11/12 girls 50m Butterfly record in a very good time of 31.76. Well done to all the new record holders!
