Milton Keynes Junior League Final 2006

Amersham "A" team at Luton in Div. 1 of the League and Amersham "B" at home in Amersham in Div 2 were in action in the M.K.Junior League finals.

The "A" team had 4 relay wins and 7 individual wins. The 12 year girls medley and f/s teams with Francesca Allen, Sophie Elphick, Katherine Shaw and Freya Mahon Daly won as did the 11 year medley and f/s teams of Holly Williams, Megan Davies, Millie Price and Nia Kennedy. Individual wins came for Katherine Shaw (12) 'fly and back; Daniel Barraclough (11) 'fly; Megan Davies (11) f/s, Sophie Elphick (12) breast; Millie Price (11) breast. The team was sadly depleted with 9 year old boys missing, thus leaving some events with no swimmers.

Scores 1st Wycombe 205, 2nd Luton "A" 186, 3rd AMERSHAM "A" 181, 4th City of Milton Keynes 170, 5th Acton 159 and 6th Wellingborough 116.

Meanwhile at Amersham the "B" team swam their best ever and were sadly denied a first ever win which again due to the lack of 9 year old boys available to swim. But a good gallery were thrilled to see the team record 20 first places which were:- Katie Phillips(10) breast and back, Will Robertson (12) f/s and back; Alice Hall (9) f/s; Poppy Attwell (11) back; Ruth Law (10) 'fly,Jasmine Sanders (11) f/s; Carrick Blore (11) fs Sabine Bellamy (10) f/s; Eleanor Dolan (11) breast; 10 yr girls medley and f/s relay Iona Purvis, Amber Campbell-White; Poppy Attwell, Sabine Bellamy, Ruth Law; 10 yr boys medley and f/s relay Tom Harrison, Robert Hughes, Guy Tasker, Alex Finn, Dominic Quincey; 9 yr girls medley relay Alice Hall, Emma Race, Connie Lewis, Michelle Mitchell, 11 yr Girls Medley & f/s relays Katie Phillips, Iona Purvis, Eleanor Dolan, Jasmine Sanders, Poppy Attwell, 11 yr boys f/s relay Dominic Quincey, Elliot Lewis, Alex Finn, Carrick Blore; 12 yr boys f/s relay Tom Harrison, Robert Hughes, Carrick Blore and Will Robertson and the final Cannon relay won in a thrilling finish with Alice Hall, Matthew Leech, Katie Phillips, Robert Hughes, Jasmine Sanders, Carrick Blore, Gabrielle Burke and Will Robertson.
