Milton Keynes & District Junior League second round

Amersham Swimming club had two tems out on Saturday in the 2nd round of this junior league.
The "A team swam at Luton (33 & 2/3rd metre pool) and swam really well for 2nd place behind Luton "A"
The team had 14 wins thanks to individual wins for Katherine Shaw 12 yr girls 2 Lengths fly and free; Megan Davies 11 yr girls 2L backstroke; Daniel Barraclough 11 yr boys 2L fly; Ben Levart 10 yr boys 1L fly; Alessandra Quincey girls 11 yr 2L free; Sophie Elphick girls 12 yr 2L breast; Jade Pithers girls 10 yr 2L free; Millie Price girls 11 yr 2L breast.
Relay winners were:- Girls 11 yr Medley and freestyle with Alessandra Quincey, Millie Price, Holly Williams and Megan Davies; Girls 12 yr free and Medley with Katherine Shaw,Sophie Leech, Sophie Elphick and Freya Mahon Daly, Girls 10 yr freestyle with Jade Pitchers, Katy Phillips, Emma Barraclough and Harriet Ferguson
The team were without a full 9 yr boys section and so lost valuable points.
Final placing:-

1st Luton "A" 232
2nd Amersham "A" 190
3rd City of Milton Keynes 168
4th Wellingborough 144
5th Ketteringham 139
6th Aylesbury & District 129

Meanwhile in Amersham the "B" team were also without a full team lacking many boys but finished a creditable 3rd with the same points as Luton "B" but with more higher placings. Robert Hughes won the 10 yr boys breaststroke and 9 personal best times were recorded by:- Guy Tasker(2), Ellie Wilson, Tom Harrison, Freya Tate, Carrick Blore, Elliot Lewis, Sabine Bellamy and Dominic Quincey.
