Amersham S.C.'s young swimmers put huge smiles on the faces of their Club team and staff when they notched up a haul of gold plus silver and bronze and finished as3rd best Club overall on points.
Katherine Shaw(10) sparkled with five wins taking the 50 free, 50 fly, 100m I.M., 50 backstroke and 50 breaststroke all in the 9/10 group.
Elizabeth Hetherington (13) swam her socks off winning the 100 I.M., 100m breast &50 free and coming 2nd in the 100 free. Her time of 30 .65 secs for 50m free put her into the "Skins" event where continuous 50m sprints are swam by the fastest 6 and subsequently each time the slowest gets knocked out. Elizabeth reached the 3rd round and won herself the princely sume of £15! She was in the 13/14 group
More gold came for Sophie Elphick (11)in the 11/12 group winning the 100m breaststroke and Lauren Wye also age 11 winning the 100m fly.
Evie Lees (10) swam well for a 2nd and two 3rds. Alessandra Quincey (10) got a bronze and a 4th place. Holly Williams in the 9/10's took 3rd behind Katherine Shaw and Evie Lees to make a clean sweep of medals in the 50 fly.
Alexandra Curson (13) took bronze in the 13/14 breaststroke.
Other excellent finalists were George Holgate, Millie Price, Lauren Wye, Elizabeth Comer, Sarah Pickin.
