BERKS AND SOUTH BUCKS COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2006 Sessions 1-3 Feb 25th 2006

Amersham S.C. opened their County season with every swimmer producing a personal best time.

Katherine Shaw(11) dazzled with five individual swims and two relays. She won both the 11 year 50 fly and 50 free events; came 2nd in the 100 back only a finger nail away from a national qualifying time and gained a bronze in the 400m IM plus bronze with Alexandra Curson, Lauren Wye and Nathalie Harasyn in the Bagcats Medley relay 4 x 100 m. She swam a pb. 200m free as well.

Lauren Wye (12) as well as bronze in the relay came 2nd in the 50 fly, 2nd in the 50 free, 4th in the 400m IM all stunning p.b.'s.

Olivia Bailey (12) gained a silver in the 400m IM and a bronze in the 100m back and 200 free + 4th in the 50m free.

Sophie Elphick(11) took a huge chunk off her p.b. 400m IM to finish 4th.

Daniel Barraclough came 4th in the 200 back.

Both Gareth Fowler and Daniel Shinnie (16) and (15) were carrying injuries but nevertheless made top 6 places in their various events.
